Adult Development
Ready to level up your volleyball skills and advance your gameplay? Adult Development Program is perfect for adult mens and womens to learn and develop volleyball skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Our friendly and professional Coaching Team are passionate about teaching athletes of all ages and abilities with an emphasis on teamwork, communication and skill mastery. Our uniquely structured 10-week course focusses on skill acquisition and improvement in key areas:
- Serving, digging, setting, spiking and blocking techniques
- Hand-eye coordination, jumping footwork and arm swing mechanics
- Offensive strategies and defensive positions systems
Our highly qualified and accredited Coaching Team have decades of playing and coaching experience to help you build confidence and knowledge of the sport. This comprehensive 10-week course guides players through the natural progression of volleyball with the goal of achieving more consistent and aggressive rallies i.e. serving and passing, setting and spiking, blocking and defence.
How to Register
We welcome new players to join on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning members from the previous term will be prioritised with early access to register for the next term before it becomes available to new members. All players must first register for 'JSI Recreational Adult Membership - $75' which includes Personal Accident Insurance.

Adult Fundamentals
- No experience needed (0 - 6 months)
- Have fun and meet new friends
- Learn fundamental skills (serving, digging, setting & spiking)
- Build confidence with modified games (no rotations)
Adult Intermediate
- Limited training experience (6 - 12 months)
- Develop intermediate skills (serving, digging, setting & spiking)
- Basic playing positions (setters, middle blockers & passer hitters)
- Dynamic drills and competitive scenarios (4 - 2 rotations)
Adult Advanced
- Extensive competitive experience (SVL or Social Competitions)
- Excellent ball control and placement (pepper warm-up)
- Specialised playing positions (setters, liberos, middle blockers, opposite & passer hitters)
- Focus on skill mastery and execution (5 - 1 rotations)

- Comfortable indoor sports shoes
